Each Vida + Luz piece is handmade, making it wonderfully unique. Natural materials, like driftwood and brass, can have slight variations from piece to piece. Please note that brass will naturally tarnish over time; we recommend using Rolite Metal Polishing Cream (available here) to bring back its shine.

Important Note: Both the wood and brass are untreated, meaning they haven’t been lacquered, stained, or finished. For this reason, we don’t advise placing mobiles or wall hangings outdoors for extended periods.

For a secure hanging setup, we suggest visiting your local hardware store for advice on ceiling hooks and sturdy hanging materials, like heavy-duty twine, fishing line, chain, or wire rope with crimping. We offer a 6-foot wire rope with crimping for purchase here.

Safety Reminder: Always hang your piece out of reach of children and pets.

Shipping

All U.S. orders ship via USPS with tracking, unless otherwise specified. Please note that USPS and other carriers may experience delays in updating tracking information, with some orders taking up to a week to show delivery progress.

Signature-required delivery can be requested for an additional fee.

If you need help with a lost or missing package, please follow these steps before contacting us:

  1. Confirm your address was entered correctly.
  2. Check with family, friends, neighbors, or roommates to see if someone accepted the package for you.
  3. Contact your local USPS office (international customers should check with their local customs office).
  4. Speak with your mail carrier; they may recall where the package was left.

Once you have this information, reach out to us to see if we can offer further assistance. Please note, once the package is with USPS or another carrier, Vida + Luz cannot assume responsibility for its delivery.

We’re happy to offer complimentary gift wrapping and direct-to-recipient shipping. Include a personal note in the order comments, and we’ll add it to the package for a thoughtful touch.

Important: Ensure all addresses are entered correctly. Incorrect addresses may delay or cancel your order, and re-shipping charges will apply if needed. Vida + Luz carefully packages all items to avoid damage. If an item arrives damaged, please contact us to arrange for repairs; we offer low-cost or free repairs, with the customer covering shipping.

Returns

We want you to love your purchase! If you’re not fully satisfied, we offer store credit for returns made within two weeks.

Our pieces are crafted with natural driftwood and raw brass elements. Over time, brass may oxidize and develop a patina; this is natural but can be polished if desired. To preserve your piece, avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or moisture and store it carefully.

We’re pleased to offer repairs for a nominal fee, covering shipping, materials, and labor at $60/hour (most repairs are quick and cost around $20).
